I just picked up an HP Z600 workstation I want to use for video editing. Right now it has a GeForce Quadro FX 380 installed.

My budget dictates an incremental upgrade – any suggestions for a card that will handle non-linear video editing?

We run Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 currently.

Congrats. Z-series are awesome. What’s the memory, CPU and storage on that Z600?

Any warranty on it? The reason I ask is that if it does have warranty, picking up an HP-branded K2000 or K4000 (similar prices as PNY parts), it’ll be covered by the workstation’s on-site warranty – or 1 year – whichever is longer. PNY OTOH has a 3-year warranty on their Quadro cards, period.

Other than that, I’d look at GTX-760 as one of the best bang for the buck, then K2000 or K4000.
