Editing Publications
Posted by Adam Clements on August 24, 2009 at 10:22 pmHi,
I wasn’t sure which forum to post this in as it’s a general question about the job of editing itself, but this seemed the best bet.
I was just wondering if anyone knows of any publications/magazines/ezines etc which are targeted especially at editors, the same way you get cinematographer or writer magazines etc?
Cheers,

August 25, 2009 at 6:24 amWe need an AMERICAN EDITOR Magazine. Although American Cinematographer does well as people think shooters are glamorous…and they can be. Once they get site of OUR edit bays, and US…the magazine would fold after 2 issues.
LOL
Seriously…we need a good POST ONLY Magazine. But here at the Cow…the articles here, the magazine here, Studio Daily…HD, DV (sometimes)…decent stuff.

August 31, 2009 at 7:07 pmI subscribe to Cinema Editor. Good interviews / stories with major film editors per issue. Only about 4 issues per year.

September 8, 2009 at 7:03 pmThere is a great issue of Cineaste a couple months back that had an immense Editorial Supplement. Numerous case studies and a very large interview Q&A with leading film editors. Well worth the 6 buck. Other than that I enjoy the other mags that have been mentioned so far with the addition of “Shoot” which covers mostly commercial work
