Editing properties via “Open” synch
When I set multilayer sequences to “open” in the canvas, I can’t seem to load properties for anything except the top layer.
For example if I have three stacked text layers for each word in “Big Honking Barbecue”, I can only access properties for the top layer, unless I turn it off or move the layer. Of course, when I do that, I lose my renders.
What am I missing?

Double click on any layer to load it into the viewer and change it’s parameters.
You cannot change the parameters for three text layers simultaneously.

First, don’t turn off a layer – choose the layer and hit CNTRL-B – Enable/disable (toggle). This will keep the rest of your renders.
Second, you know those little boxes on the edge of the track panel? They’re set to AUTO select when you have no selection (which is what Open is doing – opening as you go along your timeline)
CMD + Num Pad track number will turn off a track, causing it to open the track underneath

Thanks DRW and Jeff! It’s the auto select that’s been driving me crazy. I know it’s there to help, but on this one it turned the timeline edits into a game of whack-a-mole.
