    lets say I have normal video with no green or blue chroma keying… But I want to only have the people and the rest thats on screen eliminated? What process would do that?

    thanks for the link. reading the tutorial he mentions different methods of rotoscoping, which will best suit my needs, I’m just doing it to some tv shows of actors.

    If you are using AE, then this is the way I would do it.

    Traditionally ‘Rotoscoping’ is using bezier lines to create masks/mattes (usually many different masks) the you animate over time-frame by frame. AE’s masking tools fall a little short to use it for Roto work.
    Although I haven’t had a chance to see the improvements to version 7.
