  • Editing one part of a UV without Body Paint

I’m working with filleted cube objects(so I can’t easily go to poly) and photo textures. This current one looks great except for the top side. Any suggestions for being able to edit the UV up there without having Body Paint 3d?

    Hello,
is it possible for you to map a different material/texture to the top of the cube?
There is no way to work on the UVs of one part of the object without BP. Maybe you can split your object into several parts and map them separately?

    Kind regards,

Well I do know there’s a couple of UV unwrapping plugins out there like UV2BMP but I was wondering if anyone had a better recommendation.

You can create a selection tag of the polygons you want to assign with a different material ( or with the same material but a different wrapping method)
    1. select the polygons
    2. go selection > set selection
    3. a selection tag appears in the object tab
!!! if you want to create an additional polygon-selection tag you have to create a null object firdt and temporarily drag the existing selection tag to it, because 4d replaces the old selection tag with the new one.
    4. click on the material tag you want to assign to the selection and just drag the selection tag into the selection field (material tag properties )
