  Editing on the Fly

  On the timeline, is there a way of placing in/out marks on the fly and then lifting or ripple deleting a section out of multiple layers – video and audio?

  I know you can select a few clips then use the skimmer and blade tool to make multi layer cuts but this is very inelegant.
