I am editing an 8 camera piece using timecode to sync. It works great, but I find the Multiclip Keyboard
setting counter intuitive (keys 1,2,3 on the bottom of the keyboard cut to images 1,2,3 on the top of the screen, etc). It felt backwards to me so I just remapped the keys so that 7,8 & 9 cut to cameras 1,2,3. It feels much better and works great in the preview mode. The problem is when I hit play, then the Apple key (to start cutting)…FCP ignores the settings. Any work arounds?

Got it. I should have mapped “Cut to camera” as opposed to “Switch to camera” to the keyboard.
It works like a charm now.
