Hi all. I installed the DVStorm2 driver for PremierePro. However, when I go into PremierePro, into the Project Settings>General, the Editing Mode drop-down is grayed out so that I can’t select anything (DV playback is the default).

I’m using the full version of PremierePro, not the trial version (although I did have the Tryout version installed on my machine at one point). Why is this grayed out, and what can I do to change it?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Naveen

You need to start a new project. Premiere Pro locks some project settings once the project is created. (Believe me, this is a good thing. I’ve seen too many cases where people changed them without knowing what they were doing.)

If necessary, you can import your old project into the new one after it is created.

Thanks! That did the job. Just wonder why you can’t change the settings once a project is underway. Seems rather inconvenient.

Why? Because it used to foul a lot of people up and they could not easily get back to settings that worked correctly.
