Editing FCP7 Doc in FCE4?
Hi guys! long time COW reader, first time poster: I hope you guys can help me out. So through a strange turn of events I’ve gone from having Final Cut Pro 7 on my computer to only being able to get my hands on Final Cut Express 4 (2007) and now I’m left unable to open any of my old projects I was working on. I was pretty far along on a specific edit and to lose everything I’ve done would be a significant setback, is there anything I can do to be able to work on it again?

The only way is to get a copy of FCP 7. There is no way to open FCP projects in FCE.

I am still on F.C.E. 3.5.1 but don’t remember ever trying to do what you are attempting.
