I am running FCP Studio w/ AJA HD I/O
    My project is Aja I/O HD 1080i 29.97 Apple pro-res 422
My video playback is the same
My compression settings in the sequence are uncompressed 8bit

When I go to output I get an error message which says my output and compression settings don’t match. How do I fix that.

It Prints to Video no problem.

New to FCP Online, former AVID/Quantel guy, so any advice would be most appreciated

When you say your project is AJA IO HD with Apple Pro-Res, did you run the easy set up? The conflict sounds like it’s between the set-up, which wants Pro-Res, and your sequence settings, which are 8-bit uncompressed.

Yes I used the easy set up, but, this show is a bit of a cluster !@#$%! because there are multiple source compression scemes. The main src is XDCAM ex3 shot at 23.98 as well as DVCPro50 shot at 29.97 and DVCam shot at 29.97, so I wondering if the mixed media is causing the missmatch issues and I need to mix down the video tracks into a new sequence for output?

    Thoughts?

The mixed media in the timeline is fine, I do it all the time. I’m going to guess the problem still lies with having the sequence compression at 8 Bit Uncompressed.

Can you do a test- dupe the sequence, set it to Pro-Res 422 (not HQ), and if it’s going to take forever to render, just delete a bunch of footage from the timeline so you have 5 minutes or so? Also, I would do a render/render all/audio mixdown if you haven’t already.
