  Edit to tape, odd audio drop out

  We’re using a thunderbolt blackmagic box to edit to tape using Media Express and have noticed that about once in every layback an audio dropout of about a half-second occurs randomly. Anyone had an issue withe Media Express just drops audio? Generally it’s the same spot that it happens in, but the location of the dropout can slip around, so it’s not an issue with the source quicktime being used for layback.

  We’re trying the usual solutions – update driver, restart, use FCP7, but it’s an odd little bug. Love to hear any other ideas.
