I apologise for the newbie nature of this question but this is the “basics” forum so here goes! When I atempt to Print to tape I get the error message “incompatible compression settings” you may have attempted to output a clip with compression settings that do not match the current output settings try nesting the clip in a sequence with the correct settings” I am using the Sequence Preset AJA kona 3 625/25 8 bit and this matches the Audio/Video playback settings, I am using FCP6 KONA 3 Digibeta and working in PAL SD, the capture and VTR control is working fine! Thank you in advance for any help!

Why not just play the tape out from the timeline?

I could do that, as print to video works fine, it’s just that I need the ability to insert edit the tape and also I need the items I am editing to start at a uniform timecode.I cant do thes things until I get this edit to to work!
