Activity Forums Adobe After Effects Edit target greyed out

  • Edit target greyed out

Posted by Matthew Chapman on February 8, 2013 at 10:16 pm

I did a motion track but forgot to put a Null object in as the target before the track. it was a long track (an hour or so) of position and rotation. Now when I add a null object, double click the later, and select the tracker the edit target is greyed out.

How do I get the edit target back for the tracking data? I searched the forums and followed instructions but nothing. Edit Target and APply are both greyed out.

    thanks!

Show us a screenshot of your Tracker panel. I’m guessing that you don’t have a motion source or current track selected there.

Make sure your Tracker Type(Below Current Track Option) is what you have chosen before tracking. For example: Your Track Type is Transform when you started tracking. But by mistake you have changed it to RAW. In this case the Edit Target will grey out. It might be the problem.

Well a screenshot would solve the issue.
