Edit MPEG-2 with Plug in for APP CS2??????
I am a not so proud owner of a DVD camcorder and wish to edit my video footage using Premiere Pro CS2. I have learnt through the forum that MPEG-2 is not designed to be edited. Blast1, a very helpful forum responder, put me onto a native MPEG-2 editing software package and I have since learnt that this program is one of many. However, I wish to make use of Photoshop and AE and these software packages don’t seem to be compatible with the Adobe software line. However, I just discovered a plug in for Premiere Pro called MPEG PRO HD (developed by Main Concept) that allows for native MPEG2 editing. Has anyone used this plug in and can testify to its effectiveness? Are there other plug ins that can carry out the same role?

Works perfect for SD, but I had some problems with HDV. Then you always get the problem of finger-pointing: Adobe can not replicate the issue, nor can MainConcept and as end-user you get left in the middle.
