I am finishing up a project that I need to create a Excel Spreadsheet for all the media in the edited piece. This is for rights and clearances. Is there a piece of software anyone knows that can easily create a nice clean spreadsheet? So far the only thing I’ve come across is exporting out a cmx3600 edl out of Premiere, then importing as a text document into Excel. This creates a mess. I wanted something where I can pick only Clip name, Time code, and Reel name. Anyone have a good solution for this?

There is great software that I and many associate producers use called SEQUENCE CLIP REPORTER. It’s available from intelligentassistance.com. Designed to work with FCP 7, it will work great with PPro (I just tested to make sure), because PPro will export FCP XMLs (6.5 will, CC will). And this app will only show you the fields you want to look at…VERY easy compared to EDLs. whoever does this tracking of footage will love you for life when you use this.
