I had a pro put together an opening clip for a video for me and now I need to change the text and some of the backgrounds, etc in it.

How do I do that in Vegas?

He sent me the full final video, seperate text, text alpha, and background of the entire clip.

    All are in .mov format.

How do I edit the existing pieces? Where I’m at right now is I have loaded the text alpha into vegas and I’m sitting here staring at it.

    thanks for the help

You can’t. If it is already a .mov file, you cannot change the text as it is a video. however, you can replace the text with generated text media. Just key frame it to have the same motion as the original text if there is motion at all.
