  • Edit exchange between AE and FCP?

In the past, I’ve been able to import an Avid timeline into AE (6.5) using the AAF file exchange protocol without using any third-party plug-ins. I’d like to do the same with Final Cut Pro but would prefer not to drop $495 on Automatic Duck. Is there a way to do it? Perhaps new capabilities in either AE 7 or FCP 5 allow a similar exchange without using Pro-Import? I just need to bring in cuts-only, no effects or transitions.

    Thanks, Sean

Dave is right, if you don’t need the capabilities of Pro Import AE, just use QuickTime.
