Activity Forums VEGAS Pro ‘Edit Details’ – for Trimmer, not Timeline ?

  • ‘Edit Details’ – for Trimmer, not Timeline ?

I like to mark-up media files in the trimmer, so the markers and regions are embedded in the media files themselves.

    But:
sometimes I want to see those annotations in tabular format, specifically in the “Edit Details” window, which only shows events/regions/markers/… from the Timeline.

I tried searching this forum and the internet in general, but could not think of helpful search terms. <“edit details” trimmer vegas> found a ton of irrelevant results. In Vegas, I re-viewed all the Preferences options.

Is there a way to make this work within Vegas?
Is there an extension for this?
Could a script make this possible?

P.S. I know I could use Promote Media Markers – after placing the file in the timeline – to bring the media markers into the timeline, so the would appear in Edit Details, but my timeline generally contains clips from many files and annotations relevant to the project itself. I don’t want to clutter the timeline with all the media markers from a file, and then another file, etc.. I want to see media marker details via “edit details”.

    Thanks

Vegas can display embedded markers directly on the timeline

Aleksey: That does not answer my question.

I want the Edit Details window to display markers and regions from the trimmer, not just from the timeline.

If you know of a solution for that – or know why no solution can ever exist – that would be great.

    Thanks.
