Edge Feather not working in CS4 Photoshop
When I click on okay, it doesn’t save it – the photo goes back to how it was
I’m Lasso’ing around my photo.
Going to Select
Selecting Refine Edge
Messing with the settings in there.
Getting the edge feather effect I want.
Selecting OK
Then the image just pops back to the original image 🙂
I’m also getting no effect at all when I select around the image I want, selecting Inverse Selection, Going to Modify, Feather, and typing in parameters from 5 to 50.. and no effect takes place.
I have my main image I’m trying to feather, with another solid color background behind it (not the main background).
Thanks for any assistance.

That happened to me once a long time ago, honestly I can’t remember what was the issue, so here are a few things that come to mind:
check the image is in the rgb or cmyk space, not index.
trash your preference file.
drag the image from one document to a different one, preferably one that has a layer(s) already.
check the same file in a different computer.let us know the outcome.
