  • Easy way to share entire project worth of grades?

Posted by Steve Kennedy on May 21, 2015 at 1:20 pm

    Hi,

I understand you can easily share the grade for a single shot by exporting a still (DPX / DRX). But if someone has an entire project, with many hundreds of shots, is there an easy way to share those without having to export each shot individually? Is there just a way to share the project?

    Thanks,

    S

Hi Steve, you could try in this way:

    grade your project
save all stills from first or middle frame
    copy all stills in folder
create a new power grades album
    paste all stills
export the entire project + an XML/AAF/EDL

Be sure that the saved stills contain all nodes at each level (timeline, pre-clip, post-clip)

    File:
    Export:
    Project
    Save to /folder/directory (include stills?)

Ha, yes. It really is that simple. I seem to remember using an older version of Davinci where it was much harder to share projects, but perhaps I was mistaken even then.

    Thanks!

OK, thats a great way, is there also a way to archive all the footage used?

Like archive a folder with the Davinci file and all footage?
