Im an FCP > AVID convert and still learning…

I am animating scale parameters of a still image in MC6. But since this particular image is squished i have adjusted the aspect ratio to 100:180

I have added keyframes to beginning and end of the clip, but how do i scale the clip up and keep the same ratio? if i select Fixed Aspect and i move the slider, both X and Y become even.

I know Avid would not ask me to do math each time i want to do a simple scale animation.

    Thanks

If you hold alt and drag another resize over the clip you can change the aspect of that resize (with fixed aspect selected) and it will preserve the ratio of the resize underneath.

A better way would be to use the x and y scale parameter with no keyframes, then on the same effect, keyframe either the position z parameter, or the target size parameter. This way you are only doing ONE effect on the clip, and not two effects with twice the amount of pixel twisting.
