Easy ease keyframing problem
I’m creating a lengthy composition using a 3d camera. I’m using the 3D camera to move about graphics I have positioned in 3D space, and I’m using many easy ease keyframes for the positions. The problem occurs when I want to stay still on a certain graphic for a couple of seconds. Instead of stoping, the camera somehow continues to move back and forth than continues with the next move. I’ve checked the graph editor, and the levels are even between the two keyframes that are the same (same position in 3d space). But, the graphic keeps moving! It’s pretty frustrating. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You need to change temporal interpolation from bezier or auto bezier to linear. Just experiment with that and see what works best for you. And i believe theres a whole tutorial on this somewhere on the cow. Maybe in the AE podcast section. Check it out.

Actually, Aharon covered it in a tutorial called “the boomerang effect” there are two parts.
Essentially, AE thinks it should be interpolating the values between the keyframes, but since the values are the same it wobbles or “boomerangs” back and forth. Using “hold keyframes” will avoid it.

Not temporal interpolation, spatial interpolation.
