Hi guys. Is there a way to ease a footage that is already rendered(.mov, .avi, etc)? Basically I want to easy in and out like we do to first and last keyframes but in this case the footage is rendered. Any ideas? Thanks.

time remapping will allow you to speed up and slow down footage. select the footage layer in the comp, then choose layer>time>enable time remapping.

that will add a time remapping property to your footage with two keyframes (at the in point and out point). try making those ease keyframes. and see if that gives you what you are looking for.

you will mostl likely also want to enable frame blending for the footage and the preview window. the higher quality ‘pixel motion’ frame blending should give you better results, but how good the interpolated frames look will depend largely on the footage…
