  • Easiest way to move the video or the audio 10 frames to sync them together?

I have ScreenFlow screen captures that consistently are out of sync by about 10 frames because it’s being first run through Adobe Connect servers. I have 3 of these videos a week that I have to edit, so if I can find a quick fix, that would be great.

As a quick test, I detached the audio and moved it ahead 10 frames, recompiled as a Compound Clip and it’s better. It will never be great because it appears that when run through the Adobe servers it comes back at about 10-20 fps.

    1. Would this be easier and quicker to move the video instead of detaching the audio?

    2. Should I do this to the main file in the Event Browser before bringing it into a Project? I certainly would want to do it in the beginning of the edit before I make cuts. I guess the advantage of bringing it down to the Project first might be that after cutting off the un-needed footage at the top and end, it would give “handle” space to work with in the Project.

    Thanks,
    Dave

Control click on the clip in the Event and Open In Timeline. You can detach audio there- fix the offset and then you’ll be able to lay it down anywhere else you need from the Event.

Cool tip. I will try that tomorrow. I’m not in the habit of working with a clip in the Event and then adding it to the Project, so I don’t think I would have come up with that. I guess I’ll find out tomorrow, but it sounds like I won’t need to even Compound it first, just close the Event Timeline and then drag to the Project.
