easiest way to get Modo style gorgeous emotional lighting renders in C4D? V-ray?
Hello!
I am hoping to find a quick and dirty way to get gorgeous emotionally lit renders out of C4D similar to what is possible with modo out of the box~ does anyone have any tips on the best setups/ configurations to achieve this? I realize what I am speaking about is broad, but I mean dramatic sunsets bursting with color, reflective surfaces that really milk these qualities etc
is V-ray the best solution or is there a way to configure the native c4D rendered to do the job decently? If v-ray is the best option, is there a way to use standard c4d materials with vray or do all of my shaders have to be built as vray materials?

No I realize that I will have to place lights and this sort of thing, but many people online as well as myself have noticed how out of the box the modo render engine produces much more dynamic/lush renders than c4d and in many cases modo rivals vray without any tweaking
I realize that I will need to light+ prepare the scene~ however I am hoping to come up with a starting template/configuration to give myself the easiest place to start from while trying to keep render times low

It does not, there is still plenty of time needed to setup for lighting, shaders etc… regardless of the render engine you choose. I’d say grab some demos and see which one you like best, you’ll need a decent GPU.
