I want to animate the earths core in cinema 4d but struggling with texturing what seems to be a simple job!

I want to be able to animate slicing into the earths core with a boolean shape revealing the gradient of colour and the texture stays centralized to the core of the sphere while animating could anyone point me in the right direction to be able to colour/texture the ‘inside’ of a primitive shape?

on the cutter use a 3D spherical gradient which is centered at the earth’s center. Make sure you set the Gradient’s Space to be World.

ooh nearly there how would I centre the texture to the earths core if its on the ‘cutter’ shape?

also on the boole if I check create single object and use texture instead of world the texture on the cutter becomes the centralized texture on the sphere so I can then animate an orbit and also animate a cut

    Hey,
Even i tried this effect out thanks to you guys. I had used a pyramid with 3 sides as the cutting object. But when i animate the pyramid going in and out, the texture inside changes with the pyramid. How can I make it locked to the same location on the inner side of sphere irrespective of the pyramid movement?
(I had done ‘use single object’ and used ‘texture’ instead of ‘world’)
