I filmed some scenes against a blue screen so I couldnt light it for day and night looks and now in post I would like to make some of the shots look like early morning with strong bright light, high noon with hot over exposure and dusk with soft reds. I am editing with Premiere pro and After effects 6.5. Does anyone have any tips on how I can make these effects look fairly realistic or if there is perhaps a plugin that might work. Thank you.

If there are any windows in your background footage, you’d probably want to add the Shine effect, from Trapcode, to create large sunrays coming out from the windows.

I’d create multiple rectangular masks and put them on the background’s wall and play with the blending modes. Might want to do some on your character too.

Play with the curves (Adjust > Curves), and if you own Trapcode Particular, you could create a dust emitter, like if there were little particles of dust floating in the air.

    Good luck!
