dear all,

does anyone have a suggestion, how to build a dynamic text cloud (mostly single, sometimes two words text layer, with a custom position) in After Effects, where each word in the cloud be react based on proximity to other words.

    If a scale of any word gets increased, <font face=”inherit” style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>other nearby <font face=”inherit” style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>words <font face=”inherit” style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>(within a certain Falloff<font face=”inherit” style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”> radius) should scale down and move away to avoid overlap.

    thank you for any tips.

That would be a tricky algorithm because the position and scale of each word is dependent on all the other words. Offhand, I can’t think of a reasonable expressions-based solution for something like that.

dear Dan, firstly thank you for a quick respond.

The idea behind it was, creating dynamic “a wallpaper” of a lot of words with a simplified animation process…

Might be, that all the expressions would make the Composition too processing heavy anyway, so I will try to solve it with the traditional keyframe animation…

    Greetings,

    Luka
