Neer used this before. Vegas 5.0d I did a lot of brightness correction for about 12 minutes of a video. Can I use this Dynamic Ram preview instead of having to pre-render it in sections to check my corrections? It’s hard to tell unrendered because everything is fuzzy.

I got 2Gig RAM on this machine. Whast else do I need to do or set? How much should I set on the Cache? Or isn’t it worth the effort? I don’t think I can make corrections on the fly with the RAM preview eiher, can I?

    Thanks
    Allen

Yes you can. However, you’re not going to get the full 12 minutes at once. Under options – preferences is where you set the amount of RAM you wish to allocate for this. That will be the max size you can “render” for preview purposes.

    Thanks Ed
So what’s the Dynamic Ram Preview used for then? I just used the selective render under tools to check. It seems much faster.

Rendering to RAM is much faster, though you only use this for short segments.
