I was under the impression that you could send an edited Premiere Pro project to After Effects complete with all its layers intact, work on each layer, then send back to Premiere Pro. Every time I send the PP project to AE, either by using Dynamic Link, or just use the import command in AE, all I get is the PP sequence as a single layer, not with its componant layers intact. What am I doing wrong?

When I grab all the video in a sequence and “Replace with AE composition” it does exactly that – all the layers are visible in AE….
