  Dynamic Link blank/black clip in import

  I have one clip in my timeline in Premiere which refuses to get imported into AE with the dynamic link function.
  Right click, “replace with after effects comp”
  It appears in the comp and even has the correct file name for the clip in the project window, but it only appears as a blank, black clip.
  It’s exactly the same format as ever other clip in my timeline.
  What is going on here?
