    Gents
I’ve just launched into FCP Studio and compared with Sony Vegas (which is what I used to use), I’m finding there are a lot more areas to change settings. I recently did a greenscreen shoot in 16:9 squeeze mode and I’m struggling with the setup of FCP to get the right “unsqueezed” output. Can any of you tell me where in the system I should be checking and/or unchecking anamorphic. The biggest problem I’m facing is not the unsqueezed look but the overall size of the output, its smaller than the rest of my media assets which are random clips from past shoots.

EG. capture settings, system settings, project settings, render/output to Quicktime settings.

This may be more of an FCP forum question, however I thought I would try you guys first.

    Thanks
    Rick

Thanks for the advice Dave. I wasnt even aware of the “sequence” preferences, so very helpful. I was focussed on the project preferences. Not clear on the difference or the relationship but I’ll ask over in the FCP forum.

Re the chromakey shoot, my subject moves very little (and he has good keying hair!) so I got away with it this time. However I take your point and if I need to do it again, I’ll likely rent something that records in a 4:2:2 format which I understand is better for keying.
