    Hi,

Completely new to using the decklink HD pro card and am looking for conformation on what I think is part of my online path. Will someone please confirm or deny what I suspect? You may also confirm that I know nothing, if that is in fact what you suspect! Thanks.

Shot on DVX100, captured in FCP via firewire (DVCPro codec), used advanced pulldown removal, edited entire show in 23.967. Now that it’s time to uprez to HDCAM, I have seen how much better our footage looks when captured via SDI 10 bit uncompressed than it does when captured via firewire. So, before the uprez I want to recapture, however I can’t remove the advanced pulldown directly with the decklink? I will need to capture everything in a 29.97 timebase and then convert my clips in Cinema Tools, DVFilm Maker or Compressor 2 (or something else someone recommends)? Yes? And how will this TC of my newly 23.98 clips relate back to my FCP project, which has been cut in 23.967 all along? Does this mean I will basically have to recut my entire show? Has anyone found a better way to make the DVX100 advanced footage play well with the decklink and FCP?

    Thank you!
    rita
