DVI cables FOR MAC PRO G-4 TO RUN FCP 6
GOOD MORNING
INSTALLED NEW GRAPHICS CARD 9600PRO MAC EDITION TO RUN FINAL CUT
6 \ WHEN I START FCP6 SCREEN POPS UP SAYING RESOLUTION IS NOT SUPPORTED. MONITIORS ARE FINE AND HAVE THE REQUIRED RESOLUTION
BUT I APPARENTLY HAVE BEEN RUNNING FCP 4.5 ON ANALOG WITH A
RADEON 9000 CARD AND WAS ADVISED TO CHANGE CABLES TO DVI AND
CONNECT TO THE DVI PORT. I SWITHCED CABLES OUT AND I AM GETTING
A BLACK SCREEN. DOES ANYONE KNOW THE SPECIFIC MODEL NUMBER FOR THE
DVI CABLES I NEED TO RUN FCP STUDIO 2 with final cut 6Mike
it took a week to figure out and purchase the 9600 pro that works with my g4 power mac to run fcp 6 app and i wasnt expecting this new problem. fcp 6 works and is clearly visible on a [ other ] monitor that i checked it on but not working on my monitors that have the
resolution needed so now i am stuck again, can you help me, thanks -

Try zapping the PRAM. Boot up and hold the CMD Option P R keys. Let it restart, 3 times. Don’t let go of those keys until it restarts three times and you hear the start up chime three times.
If that doesn’t bring back the resolutions, you can reset the open firmware.
I think you have a corrupt OS. That’s why the command line starts up first before the GUI.
