    Hi there,

I’m come across another issue, perhaps somebody has experienced this before and knows of a quick fix.

I’ve created a DVD using a simple PSD overlay for the menus. After the build, the DVD works perfectly in DVD Player on my Mac, and the overlays display perfectly on a TV screen using a set-top player.

When I tried playing the DVD on a Windows computer, the DVD played perfectly; however, the overlay highlights disappeared entirely. I could still click on the links, but the highlights are gone.

This is really getting to me. Any suggestions?

    Thanks
    Bryce

    Hi there,

Excuse me – the Windows version is XP, and I tried the DVD using: VLC, Windows Media Player Classic, and WMP (more recent version).

    Thanks!

WindowsXP NOT have internal MPEG2 decoder and CAN’T play DVD’s normally.
You need software DVD player like WinDVD, PowerDVD etc…

I’m use Sonic Scenarist for authoring, and YES, overlays don’t show in Windows Media Player (XP) but ALL overlays show in PowerDVD and set-top players.
