    Hi All,

I’m new to Encore and would appreciate any help/suggestions you have on a project I’m trying to finish off. I created sequences in Avid Xpress Pro, exported them as AVI files to Encore and set up menus, navigation, etc. I’m burning with a new Lite-On DVDRW LH onto Sony Accucore DVD-R stock.

The project checks out fine under the Encore disc tab, looks great in Encore, looks great on PC playback from the burned DVD – but – looks like a byper-contrast, hyper-compressed mess when played back from the same DVD on a stand-alone DVD player to TV monitor. Both blacks and whites have sucked up all neighboring details and are completely blown out.

Any ideas as to why the same DVD looks so good and then looks so bad?

    Thanks,
    Pat
