I just got my new Pioneer dvd Dual Burner 610 with Verbatim DVD +R DL Media. I builded my project in dvdA 3.0C. The file size is 4.8GB. So prepared the file with the space avaible 4.7(Did i have to change this to 8.50?) And i notice in Project properties in masters that i didn’t change layers to 2 layers. What setting for size of disc? so when i tryed to burn the dvd it was doing nothing. Can some one help me with this problem.

You tell DVDA the ‘space avaialable on media’ in Preferences> Burning.

I recently installed the newest Pioneer DL burner as well. After no luck at all burning DL+R media I did much research and got advice from several folks who basically said, “DVDA is great for authoring, but not so great for burning”.

I purchased RecordNow Deluxe 7.3 for $30 and haven’t had a single problem burning DL since. Just prepare the project to a folder, drag and drop the files onto RecordNow and click burn.

(Maybe Sony should just bundle RecordNow or Nero with DVDA).
