Activity Forums VEGAS Pro DVDA2 question

I am using Vegas5 and DVDA2. I remember reading in another forum about some people having problems with DVDs that contain short videos. I routinely make some short videos (approx 5 to 8 minutes long) that I burn to a DVD as a “Single Movie”. Some people are saying that their DVD players will not recognise the disk. Could this be due to such a small video size? The forum that I read (sorry can’t remember where) mentioned adding extra blank video so as to increase the amount of info on the disk, thus helping the player to recognise it. Does anyone have any info on if this is true, and if so, how is it accomplished? Thank-you.

There are many reasons why a player may not recognize a disc. I suppose that could be one of them.

At one time there was an issue (with some players) when your DVD did not contain at least 1-gigabyte of burned material. So padding the disc to include at least 1-gb helped resolve issues for some users. Also, some burning software will automatically burn up to 1gb (if your project is less than that).
