    Hi all,
I understand that not all External DVD writers work for Macs, but some do.

My question is this – if I want to use DVD SP (3) with an external writer, this seems but to be possible but if I need to go via Toast for example, will it retain my authoring work, eg. backgrounds, menus, that I’ve made in DVD SP? Or will this way only work for a single video?

    Thanks in advance,
    Dave

Not sure I understand. You author in DVDSP and burn in Toast.

Apologies if it’s a stupid question.

Will my Toast-burned disc be identical to a disc I’d burned directly from DVD SP ? ie. It will have the menus I’ve created in DVD SP?

Yep! Toast it mostly a utility tool…it can do alot of things. It was first designed to be a burning tool on the Mac.
