DVD recorder for output, straight to video?
Hey all:
Snooped around archives for answer to this, found one but at nearly two years old I’m afraid the info is outdated.
Looking for a DVD Recorder that allows one to record/finalize so that first play goes straight to video rather than beginning at a horrible default menu.
Anyone able to share info on a recent brand/model they own that does this ?

Good question. Here are some links to check out. I guess some Panasonics have an auto play mode which will work. Another option would be to buy a cheap recorder then demux the stream and make a first play disc in dvdsp.

My Panasonic DMR-ES35V DVD/VHS combo has the option of starting with the first video or starting with the menu. I believe it is an option in the Finalize menu. I imagine that other DVD Video Recorders might have this option as well. There are a few on E-Bay.
