I’ve recently posted an article on my blog which addresses common problems with dvd burning.

    Read it here:

Your quality of media seems to be good, and since the problem is the Bravo Pro machine not recognizing the disc properly, the booktype shouldn’t be an issue. It’s possible you are burning too fast. My article covers this in detail, but you should be burning at no faster than 4X.

Just out of curiosity, did you modify the booktype on the disc you burned for the Bravo Pro?

Hi Jon, thanks for your help! But, I’m not sure what you mean by “modify the booktype”

I just read your article, so I have an idea of how to change the booktype. Thanks Jon, I’ll let you know how it turns out.

The reason I mentioned the booktype, is that I’m not sure how the Primera Bravo Pro device would handle it if you did in fact change it. If you are placing DVD+R media into your Bravo Pro, then it will burn it as a DVD+R (i’m not sure if you can modify the booktype with that device). So just to be clear, I don’t think changing the booktype to DVD-ROM will help your situation, since the Bravo Pro device was designed to read burned media.

My first suggestion would be to burn at a slower speed (4x)

If that doesn’t work, my next suggestion would be to do what the others suggested and build a folder with encore, and use ImgBurn to burn the disc (at 4X of course). Building an image instead of a folder may work as well.
