    Hi, Thanks for any help.

I’m making a commercial Training Video DVD. In FCP I have several “Text Crawl” tiles scrolling across a well as a couple of scenes of reversed footage.

My problem is this. When I send to compressor (MPEG-2 4.5 Mbps m2v) and then make a DVD using DVDSP. I have the following effect.

I watch the dvd on my television using the Disc, the texts look smooth and beautiful, but the reversed footage is jumpy.

I watch it using the disc on my laptop using DVD Player the exact opposite occurs. The text is jumpy and hard to read but the backwards footage is smooth and clear.

Why is this and how can I get the best of both worlds on all types of viewing possibilities. ie though a laptop viewing and through a Television?

Also the sound from the television is muffled compared to through watching it in DVD player on my laptop. It doesn’t seem to be the television itself though.

My deadline is Sunday night so I’d really appreciate it.

    Thanks.

Jumpy footage ? You mean the fields are shifted?

When you use a REVERSE efffect in FCP, you need to add a shift field filter on that clip.

Thanks, Yes that solved the backwards jumpy issue but not the others. Any comment on them?
