    Hi

I’m doing something I did hundreds of times before: mov>compressor>dvd fastest-quality>dvd studio

Only the ac3 file runs out of sync with the m2v file. This happens both in the dvdsp track and in the authored dvd itself. And it runs out of sync meaning if I put the beginning in sync, it’s out 10 min later.

    QT is MPEG-4 23.98 with AC3 audio 5.1 @ 48kHz; m2v is 23.98 as well, and tried both ac3 5.1 and 2.0 at the same rate.

Where’s the glitch? Btw, this was asked before, but never answered…

    Apple PPC G5 2.3dual
    OS X 10.5.8
    QT 7.6.9
    Compressor 3.0.5
    DVD Studio 4.2.1

Have you played the source file and confirmed it’s in sync?
Why are you using such a source file?
I’d recommend using the uncompressed or at least I-frame rather than GOP based master file.
Could it be you’re having a frame rate conversion issue during the encode?
Sorry but all I can do is guess and give you ideas where to look.
