DVD Camcorder toFCP
I am trying to edit a wedding for a friend of mine. He shot the wedding using a Sony Handy-cam, and the video was recorded straight to a mini DVD-R. I am trying to get the footage into FCP (newest edition). I opened the DVD, rather than playing it, and I see about 10 files ending in these file types, .BUP .IFO .VOB Can anyone help me figure out how to convert these files into something that FCP will read. This camera is new to me. Thanks a Bunch!

Use MPEG Streamclip to demux and extract DVD content and export to an FCP -friendly codec.
Asked and answered almost daily on this forum.
