Using Vegas Pro 8 to render a DVD Architect file (using the preset). But when I bring it into DVD Architect 4.5, DVDA wants to resample the video file.

Usually, there’s no resampling involved when I do it this way. Does anyone have any idea why this may have changed? Have I somehow changed a setting I don’t know about?

Tough question, I know, but I’m hoping somebody may have experienced the same problem.

    How long was the program?
Did you render a separate AC-3 file?
Do you have any animated menus?

Program is about ten minutes, no menus at all. AC3 file rendered separately. This is exactly the way I always do it, but DVDA doesn’t normally resample. I’m stumped.

    I’m stumped.

    That makes two of us.
I know I’ve had this happen to me before and it’s always turned out to be operator error.
    Unfortunately I can’t remember what the reason(s) was/were 🙁

This is a real long shot but power the computer down and then start a new DVDA project when it’s running again.
I’ve found that sometimes the software needs a good “cleaning” and a re-boot quite often does that for me.

Yeah, I’m assuming it’s operator error, too. It’s just been a while since I got my license and I’ve forgotten many of the proper maneuvers…

I’m already rendering the project again to see if that makes a difference, but I’ll also try powering down as you suggest.

I figured out what I did wrong. I had, for some strange reason, changed “Reduce Interlace Flicker” to ON in DVDA. Ugh.

    Thanks for playing.

Glad to hear that you figured it out.
What’s weird though is that I’ve applied this filter numerous times and never gotten a “re-compress” message.

That is weird. As soon as I turn it on, I get the resampling message.
