I burned a movie and added my own subtitles. The subtitles would not disappear when they were supposed to. They just lingered on the screen until a new subtitle appeared. How do I solve this problem?

Subtitles or closed captions? How are you adding them?

Subtitles. I added them manually (clicking a button for inserting subtitle text event). My subtitles track is next to the video and audio tracks at the bottom of the screen.

There is a subtitles track next to the audio and video tracks underneath my video. I’ve added the subtitles manually. I clicked a button for inserting subtitle text event.

I’ve never done it that way, but I tried it here and it works as expected. The recommended way is to put the subtitles into Vegas as regions. This way you have one source file. Doing it your way in DVDA means any edits in Vegas will require a matching edit in DVDA if the subtitle text or location changes.

I’m having the same problem. The subtitle won’t dissapear until the new subtitle appears. I converted my .docx to .txt and dragged it to DVD Architect Pro 5.2. I’ve worked in several projects like this before with no problems. Any ideas?
