dvd architect chapter button editing
Posted by Ed Vandenderen on February 25, 2009 at 11:05 pmI have chapter button with 25 chapters on it. Each chapter name seems to have a dvd id number by it that I can’t seem to edit out.
How do I remove these so I can edit and align the names.
Do I have too many chapters to work effectively?Ed Vandenderen replied 17 years, 2 months ago 2 Members · 4 Replies -

What does that mean, a “chapter button with 25 chapters”? You mean you have a chapter (scene selection) menu for a video that has 25 chapters?
Where are you trying to edit this name/number?
If on a menu, just select the textbox with the name/number, press F2 (or right-click the box and choose Edit Text) and select / delete the part you don’t want.
If you’re trying to get rid of the number on the chapter marker itself (on the timeline), you can’t.

February 26, 2009 at 4:06 amYes, a menu page with chapters, 25 of them.
Really a chore to edit them all for size etc. in dvda. They are all numbered in the same color as the chapter name but there are also two white, what look to be dvda reference numbers associated with each chapter name.
I can edit the same colored one easily but not the white ones, can’t move them?
any ideas

February 26, 2009 at 4:30 amAre they little white squares with black numbers in them, and do they appear with everything on the menu, not just chapter buttons? If so, that’s just DVDA telling you the object order. Go to View > Workspace Overlays > Object Order to turn it off. For the record, these would not appear on the DVD (or even in the preview). They’re only for your reference.
If that’s not what you mean, could you post a screenshot? ‘Cause I’m not sure what else it could be you’re seeing.

Yes, exactly. Thanks so much for the help!
I couldn’t edit the underlying word with these in the way.One more thing, if I may. When I preview the movie in dvda I have the large black “letter boxing” along the top, horizontally and at the bottom of the screen horizontally.
Did I forget to check a box somewhere.thanks again for the help
