  • DVD Architect 4.5 Menu Audio. Any way to compress to smaller file size?

I recently made a movie with my friends for a college class. When making the menu I didn’t realize it couldn’t exceed 1GB. I couldn’t believe it was that big to begin with. I have audio on each page of the dvd menu. In total there are 12 pages. Each song I add takes up anywhere from 200-600mb no matter what format I use, mp3, wav files. Why is that and is there any way to compress them or convert them to a different format that wouldn’t make they’re size so big when I add them to the menu? The reason I use DVD architect is because it is so easy to make subtitles in Vegas and import them into Architect. If there’s a better program for making menu’s that will allow for subtitle importation, please let me know. Thanks.
