DVD-A exceed dvd limit??

Answer 2 questions and I’ll see what I can do to help.
#1. Are you using Sony Vegas Pro or Vegas Movie Studio?
#2. How long is the video?

…urgently:

1.- prepare DVD with architect using original 6.2Gig files….
2.- use DVD shrink to “fit” the prepared DVD to required size (I know many don´t like it, but it works……).
3.- burn new DVD files with nero, etc. …done.

I am using SonyVegas pro 8.0 and the movie is of PAL widescreen quality of 2and half hours ++

But wont there be a loss of quality or something i mean come on DVD shrink wont magically shrink the video with out giving anything away or wait doesit???

Priya, you owe it to yourself to give DVD Shrink a try.
I’ve used it before and found that it takes a critical eye to notice the very slight quality loss.
If you don’t want to use it, then you have no choice but to render your project again.
The bitrate calculator I use gives the following numbers for a 2 hr. 30 min. video.
VBR: 6,344,000 / 3,624,000 / 2,176,000
Due to the length of this video, I highly recommend using the 2-pass option.
This assumes AC-3 audio.

You can always burn it to a dual layer disc. DVD-DL will hold up to 8.5GB.
