Hey so basically I am working in FCP 5 G5 Dual 2GHZ processor runnin 10.3.9, I am working with DVCPRO HD 720p, 960×720 footage. I downloaded the codec from panasonics site as well as installed the frame rate convertor. My “Easy set up” is on, DVCPRO HD 720p24. The footage plays back fine in the canvas. When I apply the frame rate convertor (settings are 23.98, make self contained, import into FCP) to a clip, the resulting clip looks choppy, as if you can tell the frames were removed. What is the problem? THANK U N ADVANCE

The converter is mean to be applied to footage shot at 60P or 60I…so that when it is applied the footage is then 23.98 and slow-motion. And it should be very smooth.

What is the frame rate of the footage you are trying to convert?

Actually, It is smooth now and looks fine. The problem I now have is that the footage was shot to double speed sync intended to give slow mo movement with lyrical sync when slowed down. the problem now is, the sync is to slow. Off hand, do you know what should have been the proper dat settings would be to achieve this on set?

Question, how would I convert my audio into 23.98. I think that may be the problem.
